This unique claw beaker is a stunning, handblown replica inspired by a historical piece discovered in Borre, Norway, dating back to the 6th century. The claw beaker style, renowned for its characteristic “claws” – decorative, applied glass prongs that adorn its body – is a hallmark of ancient craftsmanship and artistry from this era.

Our piece is a light amber-brown glass, skillfully handcrafted to replicate the original’s hues and distinctive features. Around its neck and base, a white thread decoration has been carefully applied, capturing the intricate details of early glasswork. Standing on a small foot, the piece captures the graceful yet stance of its ancient counterpart, carefully modeled after the original discovery.
